Yaaaay!!!! It has been officially 40 full days of quarantine, and a lot of home-school!
Today me and my brother wrote our grandad a birthday card and put his address on it (and a stamp) and went outside to mail it. But as soon as we shut the front door we realised that we had forgotten the key and that we were locked out! So, we went down the road, mailed the cards and came back. Our mum was in an important meeting and we didn’t want to disturb her by knocking on the door or banging on the windows. So we went to the side gate, before I realised I had STUPIDLY locked it earlier.
We saw an old stool amongst all the stuff we had dumped (we need a skip) and we put it next to the gate. I stood on it since I am taller and I tried to put my arm over the top and unlock it. Well…. long story short, that failed. So we came up with a plan. I stood once again on the stool, my brother gave me a foot up and we FINALLY managed to open the gate! A t one point I was dangling from the gate… We ran inside (it was raining at this point) and slammed the door.
Thids was just one of those stories that I will look back on and laugh!

Oh Abi that is so funny. Wish there was someone with a camera to record! Grandad will love having an homemade birthday card.

Made me giggle Abi, but then I asked myself if your mom would’ve preferred a one minute interruption to her meeting to a trip to A&E with broken bones if you’d fallen. Good story though as it all ended well x
